Tamara

Meet our Manager, Tamara, and her furry family!

I am an enthusiastic person with a positive attitude and a passion for life!  I believe in grabbing hold of your dreams and making them a reality.  I have a list of things to do before I die, and I am constantly checking things off of it.  My family currently consists of my two German Shepherd dogs, Kekoa and Melia, and our newest addition: a three-legged mutt named Pele.  They are the best companions I could ever ask for!  My world revolves around my furry, non-traditional dependents!

My favorite anonymous quote is:

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a ride!'"

Matthew

Meet Matthew, our Assistant Manager! Matthew is a graduate of Carrington College's Veterinary Assistant program and a very dedicated employee with a great sense of humor! Matthew has lived with dogs all his life, and has studied dog behavior and training. In addition to his love for dogs, Matthew has an awesome 4 yr old son that he loves to spend time with as well! The rest of his free time he spends on continuing education and video games.

Shelby

Shelby is a student at Portland State University. In Shelby's words: "Animals have always been a big part of my life and growing up we never had less than five at one time. Right now I only have one dog and she means the world to me. I cannot leave for more than a day without missing her. Every night she sleeps in my bed, actually it's more her bed that she lets me sleep in! My dog is my child and I love her with all my heart. And yes, I am one of those people who has conversations with their pets. I love movies and music, and I believe that the 80's was the best decade for both. If there was a pbone booth time machine I would be the first in it (I hope someone gets that reference!). And last, but not least, I like CHEESE!"

Eric

Eric attends school at PCC, where he is majoring in History and working toward a degree in Education. Eric grew up on a ranch in Eastern Oregon, and has lots of experience with animals, especially bird hunting and cow dogs. He enjoys writing, recording, and performing music with his band. He loves anything BBQ, the outdoors, and CHEESE!

Coty

Coty is one of the dogs' favorite park attendants!  You will usually find him in the park playing soccer with the dogs, or just rolling around on the turf in a big pile of dogs!  He is attending Tualatin High School and plans to go on to college after graduating.  You will usually see his dogs Abby and Oso following him around - Coty recently adopted Oso, one of our OFOSA fosters!

Jamie

Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, and their three dogs. They love going down the river on hot and sunny days, or playing in the snow in the winter. She's only worked at InBark for a few months, but she loves getting to meet and play with such cool, fun-loving dogs every day! Jamie is also a veterinary technician with ten years experiece.

Becca

Becca loves spending time with animals, especially dogs!  She is working toward her goal of becoming a veterinary technician.  In the meantime, she spends as much time as possible with animals.  She also loves to read, play video games, and spend time with her husband.  Becca is great with the dogs and we love her positive attitude!

Employee Spotlight

InBark has a lot of very talented, fun, dog-loving employees and we want you to get to know them a bit better!   In addition to providing bios and pictures of our staff, we are going to "Spotlight" a different employee  every quarter!  So without further ado, here is our current Employee Spotlight!

Shelby

Shelby is a favorite of both the dogs and the staff, with her great sense of humor and love for animals! We frequently see her snuggling up with the dogs, and giving them lots of love and attention!

We recently interviewed Shelby for our Employee Spotlight - here's what she had to say:

Where are you from Shelby?

I grew up in Newberg.

Tell us about your previous experience with animals.

I grew up on a mountain, so we always had lots of room for animals. Dogs, cats, rabbits, and at one point even a raccoon!

Tell us about your pets.

Currently I only have one dog and a fish. My dog, Journey, is an Australian Shepherd who is always hyper, but she also loves to snuggle.

What do you like best about working at InBark?

I like that there is always something new to look forward to, whether it be a new dog or a project to work on. Also, I love that it is perfectly acceptable to have water balloon fights!

What's the funniest thing that's happened to you while working here?

In one weekend I was peed on twice by the same dog. Is that funny???

People would be surprised to know...

That I am secretly a Smurf!

Before I die, I would like to....

Visit every country in the world!
